My Back-Story...

  When I was a cabinetmaker I topped-out at about $40 an hour - because I had my own business - if I had worked for somebody else I could have maybe earned $1000 a week before taxes. I definitely made more for my hours working for myself, and had a lot of flexibility... But I would lose jobs to clients who hired cheaper guys or just went to a big-box store when they saw my bid. It’s a tough business.

  I got sick of the hassles of bidding jobs. It was feast-or-famine for me too. Sure, I could have worked really, really hard to build up a better clientele in cabinetry, but my heart wasn’t in it and I didn’t enjoy woodworking much at all anymore since I had gone pro.

  I started looking for a better way - a direction of less limited income potential. I was familiar with the idea of "leveraging" other people’s efforts... but to be honest I just wanted to make the same or more money and have fewer hassles.

  Not particularly ambitious, I know. I wasn't thinking in big-money terms at the time, I just wanted my bohemian lifestyle without the hard physical work and logistical headaches of doing cabinetry. I also wanted to be able to travel and conduct my business from wherever I was at the time, using the internet and the telephone.

  So I started cruising the online "opportunity marketplace" looking for something good. I signed up with a few smaller-ticket things I didn’t really pursue... and I’m glad because in retrospect I know these companies lied to me just to get my money - they knew the system they sold me was a turkey and I would be losing my shirt advertising their products.

  Then I found a bigger-ticket opportunity I really liked. It seemed like a dream come true. So I got started buying leads and running ads. I got no results from that. It was pretty upsetting because my sponsor told me it was a problem with me.

  So I started looking for ways to be a better marketer - and the reason was simple - I wanted to only be talking to people who know who I am, want what I am offering, and have most of the information they need to make a decision before we even talk on the phone.

  The problem was - none of the systems I tried or investigated really solved the problem.... they were either too generic, teaching that generating leads for a big-ticket opportunity and a rinky-dink MLM was basically the same and could be done in the same way - which just isn’t true.... or they were just all hype and no real substance.

  I’m a realist, and a pragmatic person. I was a tradesman, remember? And I’m good at figuring things out.

  None of the systems I looked at gave me or my crew a genuine competitive advantage. There was hype and flash, sure... but what happens with that is another program comes along and then your product is "old hat" and hard to sell. That's why many promoters start hopping from program-to-program, "leading the lambs to slaughter", basically hanging the new recruits out to dry and moving on - which is easier than doing what I've done here: create a real system for building a solid business with zero hype and a methodical, reliable way for anyone with the right work ethic to succeed.

  I tried systems where other people do the calling for you - and know what? Other people will let you down. You spend all this time and money getting leads into the system and the phone people sometimes don’t even make the calls.

A Control Freak's Dream...

  I’m a bit of a control freak, I admit that. That’s why I like this new digital age because with a computer and an internet connection I can run a much bigger, more advanced business all by myself.

  I don’t mind talking to people about my business and the services I offer and how I can help them to succeed and solve their problems. I welcome it!

  What I don’t want to be doing is talking to a lot of tire-kickers and the people who want something for nothing. There are a lot of them out there.

A Different Approach...

  As I got better at marketing I started to see a shift in the quality of the people I was reaching... and it wasn’t because I was doing what everybody else in the business opportunity world was doing on a bigger scale. What I was doing was different from what I ever saw anybody else doing.

  I never posed with my car or in front of my house. I never put a picture of a yacht on my website and if I ever used a picture of money it wasn’t in an in-your-face way.

  You see, all that stuff is bullshit. You can fool people with that stuff some of the time but people are becoming more skeptical and they want to do business with somebody who can really help them to succeed.

  There are a lot of marketing illiterates out there. These people just know how to hype and lie because they have nothing of genuine value.

  I learned some solid lessons in my previous career. I learned that people wouldn’t hire me if I didn’t deliver the goods. 

  Most of the programs and promoters out there don’t deliver the goods. Sure, you get the "opportunity" and maybe you get some worthless crap to sell. Time and again I have people calling me and sending me emails telling me they wished they found my stuff first... because they joined these programs and got some silly hyped-up website and they just didn’t understand how to go about marketing a business, the nitty-gritty of it.

  If you are great on the phone you can make money with any of the things going around out there. There are enough easy "marks" out there who will still fall for confident salesmanship. Problem is - that takes a while to learn and some people just plain aren't cut out for it.

  And in my time doing this I’ve become pretty good on the phone - I break a lot of "sales rules" but still do well because because I know my stuff in the business and I have confidence in my ability to teach you to succeed.

  Yet most people starting out never get to that place of confidence and being good on the phone. They just lose money or engage in all this no-results advertising like trying to build a business just running free ads on Craigslist.

  And the worst part? There are super-successful sponsors out there who shouldn't need to pull this crap are signing people up telling them they can just run some free internet ads and get sales for a big-ticket product. Let me tell you, I’ve tested a lot of advertising methods and the free-advertising media is not one to build this sort of business with.

  I’m an expert at online advertising and I’ll also tell you flat-out, you have to invest money if you want to make money with any kind of speed. If you just want to play in the peewee league go run free ads. The slowness of your progress could just wear you out. That’s the honest truth.

In A Bind... Or A Blessing In Disguise?

  Recently an opportunity I was promoting went and pulled the rug out from under it's distributors and reorganized, blaming the current economy. My stuff is the exact OPPOSITE of the mlm Koolaid going around.... and if I were messing around with rinky-dink $100-to-get-started-MLMs I wouldn't even bother doing what I am doing here. I work the "bigger ticket" end of the industry - I'm looking for committed people, serious people who want to launch a business the right way, something that increases in POWER and MOMENTUM as you grow it.

  You should have at least $2500.oo in capital or credit to get started. More is better but if you cannot come up with at least that sum this offer in not appropriate for you. Not "Network Marketing" As You Know It...   Nobody in Network marketing will share the marketing power I will share with you. Nobody else has the combination of talents and insight I have. I don’t think I’m bragging - my skills are on display and if you want a winner in your corner you’ve found one.   There are other factors you might want to consider however in choosing a sponsor:   1. Is the person an expert at persuasion and charismatic selling on the phone?   I am not a slick salesman.I don't have to be because by the time I am having the conversation there is very little selling involved - it's already been done, on autopilot, by my marketing system. I read books about it and listen to CDs but in a real situation I'm just a guy having a conversation. I get the results I'm after without chasing prospects, which is boring.   Success with traditional network marketing requires - buying leads, prospecting for business, talking to people on the street, and closing sales in an aggressive manner. I don't do that stuff much - my marketing systems take care of it. If you want those skills I can recommend trainers but since it does not fit my interests and personality I do not practice that kind of selling.   Instead what I do is focus on automation of the marketing process and follow-up. I generate traffic with advertising, sell or give-away valuable information to get lists of targeted buyers and prospects, let them marinate in my email systems where I market to them in a systematic and continuous content-rich way, and then when they are ready to join me in partnership they know me and my chararacter, trust me and are well-qualified to succeed because I've pre-conditioned them for success.   2. Does the person focus on building a local organization and doing parties and local meetings?   I don't do this - even though socially I bet it's a lot of fun. I prefer to build a worldwide organization so I don't spend time driving around. This is, for me an efficient way to do things. You might prefer the social interaction of selling Tupperware, Mary Kay, or even Amway. Those are solid MLM companies that build strong local sales organizations and do well at it. Distributors work very hard at it and if you put in 4-5 nights a week driving to meetings you can make a 6-figure income in a few years and meet a lot of nice people. I prefer hanging out with musicians and other creatives over the company of "networkers" - I've chosen to structure my working life so the people I do business with are not people I am obliged to socialize with.   3. It he/she someone who only teaches you to put up signs, buy leads, or invest in advertising co-ops to build your organization?   There are some great sponsors out there who teach these business building methods. I'm not knocking them. They work for some people and are allegedly "duplicable" so unskilled people can do them. Since I've gone down the rabbit hole of internet-marketing expertise I have a lot of other tools at my disposal and focus on marketing methods that are more effective for the life I want to have.

 

 

 With time and money freedom you have choices - options

  For me this is not all about the pleasure of having money - which is where my stuff takes a sharp right turn from the glamorous "lifestyle" imagery you will see with most other promoters - you know, the cars, the vacation pictures, the houses, the boats.

  There's nothing inherently wrong with being materialistic or wanting to live a glamourous lifestyle. It's just not my game. I'm in this for choices and growth and to be passionately involved in my livelihood. I'm not interested in showing you things I bought or flaunting off. I would rather show you something I created and show you how to create something yourself.

  I want to let you know that whatever your reasons for getting into this kind of business, if you stop growing your skills you will find yourself dead in the water and your business and income will start to go down the tubes.

  If you stagnate, you lose.  Which is why having a business like this should not be something about which you say to yourself:

  "Finally! Something easy for me to do where I can get really Rich and drink Margaritas on the beach for the rest of my life!"

  The real secret to success is to never stop growing. Stop and smell the roses, sure. Cut-lose, party too.

  No problems with having fun. However, if you want to create true long-term success you have to keep growing until you've created something so strong no competitor can take your market share away.

  Nobody in this industry I have seen is teaching this stuff except me. I wouldn't waste my time searching high and low of course, but I look around enough to get the picture.

  Here are some reasons why:

  - they aren't doing it themselves.

  - they aren't disciplined-enough to do it.

  - they aren't self-educated enough about marketing to know it can be done.

  - they make their money lying to foolish people about how easy it is to get rich with their program.

  - they make their money hopping from program-to-program, like the Judas goat leading sheep to slaughter.

 

  I'm good at marketing and believe me if I was less ethical and more interested in a fast buck I would be doing what a lot of these guys are doing.

  I wanted something better. I wanted to really help people and show them a method which would create success and income with 100% certainty and without losing their shirts on advertising.

  If your standard mental operating program is to be afraid and doubt yourself you will be your own worst enemy in getting the results you want. You wouldn't believe it, but the truth is the majority of people carry around huge obstacles in their own minds...

  So big in fact that many people will not even openly say that money is important and they would prefer to be rich. If you got into most people's heads and hearts of course they would prefer to be wealthy - and many can admit it, but many will mutter endless platitudes about "money isn't all that important".

  I have personally seen the results of that kind of thinking in other people, and in myself when I was younger. I was a free-living guy in my 20s. I had long dred-locks and I didn't care about money much at all. I just wanted to have fun and be creative.

  When I finally got my head on straight and decided I wanted to do something I could reliably get rich at (I was a woodworker and that wasn’t it) I also had some profound realizations about work, freedom and fun.

  You see - learning new skills is fun for me. I hope it will be for you too, because if you truly aren’t having fun learning these new skills that can make you rich you won’t stick with it, or worse, you’ll spend a lot of time learning to do something you hate doing!

  I love learning and doing marketing and writing. It’s a sincere passion I discovered as I did more and more of it. I didn’t love it when I started though - I just wanted to make some money, but as I worked and saw myself improving I started having FUN!

 

Is this industry right for you?

  Maybe not. Maybe a salaried job like being a nurse would be a better fit for you. You would make less money, but nursing has it’s rewards.

  Same thing with dozens of careers. You could go back to school in the next few months and start learning a new career. I'm all for education, whatever it's form. If you want a better life education is ALWAYS the answer.

  If you just want to do "pretty good" financially then this business I do is definitely not for you. Those of us who choose this way of earning our living must be committed to reaching high, reaching for maximum success....

  They don’t teach this stuff in schools. There will be no threat of bad grades held over you. There will be only you pushing through and learning the skills to get you the life you really want.

  In nursing school you have a support system that promises you if you get good grades you’ll be able to get a pretty good job. The schools will even help you get the job - after all, they want to get the money they loaned you back, right?

  This is a different kind of school. This is the school of your own making - and you will proceed at your own pace and determine your own level of success. 

The hard part for a lot of people

  Most folks got their boxed-in thinking from years of going to school and then going into jobs - all situations where failure to perform could get you kicked out.

  Here, if you fail to perform nobody will kick you out - you just won’t make any money.

   Being effective despite the lack of a structure to being in business for yourself is not something than comes easily to everybody.  Some people just don't have the self-discipline or drive to do it.
